Behind the Scenes
G.H.O.S.T. Ride depicts a family from an undefined future. Come along for a ride. G.H.O.S.T. Ride is a time-jumping caravan. This vehicle reflects the land that it inhabits. Its mirror finish is its own kind of camouflage. When the vehicle is viewed in person, you the audience, are invited to experience the piece, by recognizing that you are projected onto its surface. You don't have to inhabit the vehicle, or own it, to be a part of the experience. You are invited to experience this future non-dominion relationship with the land. We are all ghosts. Ancestors of the future. G.H.O.S.T. Ride is an iteration of moments in this future world. Future Ancestral Technologies is Indigenous science fiction - a methodology, a practice, a way of future dreaming rooted in continuum. You are invited to consider how we choose to dream of our collective future You are challenged to imagine a vibrant post-capitalist, post-colonial experience, where humans restore their bonds with the earth and each other.
