Native American Comics and Culture, Extended Reality, and 360º World-Building

Coming to Comic-Con Special Edition! We are honored be able to present our amazing panel of Our Worlds contributors, speaking about using emerging technologies to support their work in advancing Native American culture. San Diego is home to 18 Native American tribes and over 10,000 years of tribal culture. Join us and watch Our Worlds' Kilma Lattin (Pala Band of Mission Indians, Cupeño) moderate a panel with Chairman/Chief Cody Martinez (Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation), Ricardo Caté (cartoonist/creator of the daily comic strip Without Reservations, Kewa Pueblo), Johnny Bear Contreras (Artist and Sculptor, San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians), Brandie Taylor (Vice-Chairwoman, Iipay Nation of Santa Ysabel), and Alec Calac (MD/PhD Student, UC San Diego School of Medicine; San Diego State University School of Public Health; National President-Elect, Association of Native American Medical Students; Pauma Band of Luiseño Indians).
