WWI Condiment Can
The M-1910 condiment can, made of tinned iron, stored vital rations of coffee, sugar, and salt, with its main body divided into two compartments sealed by screw caps. Ingeniously, one of these caps doubled as a third compartment, with a pry-off lid and a small reserve of extra space. This practical yet minimal design highlights the fragility of life on the battlefield, where every item had to serve multiple purposes, providing essential supplies in a compact form to support soldiers under constant threat.
